Maker of pool cues from 1996 to present in Vancouver, Washington
Gregory Sowder began doing cue repairs in 1992. This business naturally evolved into cue building. He builds only one-of-a-kind custom cues made to customer specifications in his home-based shop. As a pool player for a number of years, he understands the importance of building cues that feel balanced and solid. Sowder cues have 1/8 in. rings on all shafts and extra long "short splice" points. Matching joint protectors are included on every new cue. Gregory uses 3/8-10 bronze, titanium, or stainless steel joint pins.
Sowder cues are easily identifiable by the shark´s tooth that is inlaid in every cue. Gregory´s signature and the date the cue was finished is under the wrap and will show up if the cue is x-rayed with the shark´s tooth facing up.
If you are interested in talking to Gregory Sowder about a new cue or cue that needs to be repaired, you can contact him at Sowder Cues, listed in the Trademark Index.
