Maker of pool cues from 1982 to present in Galena Park, Texas.
William Rikard started playing pool at the age of eighteen, when some of his friends took him to a pool hall. He has been hooked on the game ever since, and is now on a league team that has placed in the top half dozen in the nation several times. A pipe fitter by trade, William began selling cues in the late 1970s. By 1982, William bought an old lathe and started making cues of his own.
Rikard cues are easily identifiable by the "William Rikard" signature, usually on maple, on the forearms or butt sleeves. Some are signed instead with "Toeboy", William´s nickname since he was a kid. William makes everything by hand in his one-man shop. He doesn´t stock many cues, instead building them to fill custom orders.
If you have a Rikard cue that needs further identification or repair, or would like to talk to someone about ordering a new Rikard cue, contact Rikard Custom Cues, listed in the Trademark Index.
