Maker of pool cues from 1995 to present in Jupiter, Florida.
Fred C. Meister began making cues after a forty-year career as a boat builder. The attention to detail, creative design skills, and experience in working with exotic woods has made the move to fabricating cues a fairly smooth one. In the early 1990s he began repairing cues, and by 1995 Fred was building cues on a part-time basis. His career change has been facilitated by learning from Florida cuemakers Paul Dayton and Dennis Searing. All cues are one-of-a-kind, and approximately half are made to order. Playability is most important to Fred.
Fred makes all cue components except the bumpers and tips in his one-man shop. He makes his own custom radial pins for his joints. Butts are cored with four-piece double laminated radial spliced rods with opposing grains from the joint to the butt cap so that the butt will not warp.
A Fred C. Meister cue can be readily identified by the "FCM" initials on the butt cap. Fred´s cues come with a lifetime guarantee. For more information or to order a custom cue, please contact Fred C. Meister Cues, listed in the Trademark Index
