KENNETH MURRELL CUSTOM CUES
Maker of pool cues from 2002 to 2003 in Newport, Rhode Island, and from 2003 to present in Swansea, Illinois.
Kenneth Murrell spent two years at the University of Southern Mississippi, after which he joined the U. S. Navy. He spent 21 years as a Navy Machinist, honorably retiring in 2002. His wife, Laura, has played an integral part in all design work and the choosing of wraps for his cues, based on color, design, and texture. Laura remains on active duty in the Navy.
An avid nine-ball player with a wood turning hobby and machinist background, Kenneth did refurbishment and repair of cues. Curiosity, and a love of billiards, ignited a personal challenge within him. Possessing a strong desire for creativity in his woodturning, and utilizing sound engineering practices, he designed and built his first cue. Since that first cue, many changes have taken place, but the basic construction of his cues remains the same. He continues to strive for perfection and continually searches for better materials to use in the building of his cues. He prefers to stick to the familiar, and having worked with manual lathes for years, builds all cues without the aid of CNC. All inlays are done with a manual pantomill or hand milled. No two Kenneth Murrell Custom Cues are alike.
Kenneth Murrell cues are guaranteed for life to the original owner against construction defects that are not the result of warpage or abuse. If you are interested in talking to Kenneth Murrell about a new cue or cue that needs to be repaired, you can contact him at Kenneth Murrell Custom Cues, listed in the Trademark Index.
