Maker of pool cues since 1988, originally in Galesburg, Illinois and currently in Arvada, Colorado.
Gale Clark began making cues in 1988 with a friend of his, who was an excellent pool player. They began in a closet with just one lathe, by taking apart cues and learning how they were made. Gale was a machinist at the time, and, in the early 1990s, he built a shop in Galesburg, Illinois, and began building and selling low-end cues with the ambition of becoming a custom designer and builder. Circumstances took Gale and his wife to Colorado, where he worked for Showcase Cues for a couple of years.
Gale opened his own shop and started working with beautiful exotic woods and inlays and tried to build the perfect hitting cue. He enjoyed cue making for four years, until an unfortunate auto accident sidelined him for a time. Two years ago, Gale decided to start building custom hustler cues at a shop in his home. His hustler logo is a brass diamond in the butt cap. The points are usually either purple heart or bubinga.
Gale Clark cues are guaranteed for one year against product defects. If you have a Gale Clark cue that needs further identification or repair, or would like to talk to Gale about ordering a new cue, contact Gale Clark Cues, listed in the Trademark Index.
