AP CUES
Maker of pool cues from 2002 to present in Los Angeles, California.
Andrew Park started playing pool in his teen years and got hooked on the game very quickly. Over the many years of playing pool, he collected a few top-notch cues (Tad, Szamboti, Ginacue, Southwest) and loved the way they were not overly extravagant, but elegant. An engineer by trade, Andrew is a craftsman at heart, who has always enjoyed working with wood in his spare time. It was just a matter of time before he started making cues as a hobby. He made cues for himself and then friends and family. He thought the cues played surprisingly well. From there on, Andrew decided to become a part-time cuemaker. He started by selling some hustler-type cues, but since then has moved on to more elaborate ones. AP Cues is a home-based company that produces fewer than 25 cues per year. All cues are one of a kind. Andrew started without the bigger machinery some other cuemakers use, so he learned how to do a lot of hand work. In 2005 he purchased a four-axis CNC machine for inlay work. He believes his passion for the game of pool and pride in his workmanship are the keys to making cues that look beautiful and play well. Andrew makes all the cue components except tips, joint screws, and bumpers. Cues can be identified by the "APcues" or "AP" logo on the cue, and some cues have "Andrew Park" hand-signed on the butt cap.
If you are interested in talking to Andrew Park about a new cue or cue that needs to be repaired, you can contact him at AP Cues, which is listed in the Trademark Index.
